Suasion Communications Group, located in Somers Point, NJ, was awarded a 2017 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Award in March for its successful public relations campaign promoting downtown Haddonfield, NJ. This is the third consecutive year Suasion has received an award from the New Jersey Travel Industry Association.

“We are honored to be recognized by the NJTIA for our work,” says Suasion President Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt, president. “It is gratifying to contribute to the success of our clients, and even more exciting to be recognized for that accomplishment by our peers.”

Suasion collaborated with The Partnership for Haddonfield, NJ for a campaign centered around showcasing and promoting Haddonfield’s downtown shopping/dining and professional services as well as the success of PfH. The campaign, which provided tmedia with numerous positive stories, was selected from more than 30 statewide submissions, securing Haddonfield’s positon as a premier downtown tourism destination. Overall, the campaign increased traffic to Haddonfield, making it a win-win for shop owners as well as the community.

This year, the Travel Excellence Awards were presented at the New Jersey Tourism Conference in Atlantic City, NJ on March 9. Awards recognize the achievements of those who enhance New Jersey tourism. NJTIA seeks to improve government support for tourism through the industrial education of elected and appointed officials, through its economic benefit to the state and through the significance and influence of  employees within the New Jersey community.

In 2016, Suasion earned the same award for the Keansburg, NJ’s branding and marketing campaign, and in 2015, Suasion earned it for the Somers Point, NJ’s “The Shore Starts Here!” Media Familiarization Tour. Since 2009, Suasion has won a total of seven New Jersey Tourism Excellence Awards.
